Visa On Arrival

It is necessary to have a valid passport with an EVT (Entry Visa for Tourist) or visa on arrival to enter Myanmar.
EVT can be obtained at any Myanmar Embassy / Consulate offices and requires a tour confirmation letter from an authorized Myanmar tour operator.
Visa on Arrival: Starting from 1st May 2010, “Visa on Arrival” is issuing to all nationalities at Yangon and Mandalay international airports. Please see details for the following:
Visa on Arrival fees:

  • Tourists Visa US$ 30.00 for 28 day stay ( Non-Extendable )
  • Business Visa US$ 40.00 for 71 day stay ( Extendable )
  • Social Visa US$ 40.00 for 28 day stay ( Extendable )
  • Transit Visa US$ 18.00 for 24 hour stay only

Rules and requirements for the visa on arrival applicant

  • Valid Passport ( Minimum validity = 6 months from the arrival day in to Myanmar)
  • Exemption of visa fees for Children under 7 years old.
  • Must have return air ticket to leave Myanmar.
  • Require 2 photographs, 4 cm x 6 cm in size, taken within 6 months ago.
  • Must present show money of US$ 300 per person for FIT and US$ 600 per person travel in family. Other equivalent currencies to US Dollars are also possible.
  • Must declare full addresses of accommodations such as at homes, factories, hotels, motels, guest houses.
    Forbid to visit the restricted areas.
  • Must obey all standing laws and orders of Union of Myanmar including Myanmar Immigration act.
